Confession, Adoration, and Aces

In collaboration with The FEST, the Diocese of Cleveland Office of Vocations is excited to welcome you to the FEST!

This year, the Office has continued to provide numerous avenues to assist all Catholics to grow in their faith. You are invited to participate in all of the following activities, and we encourage you to contact us with any questions.

Confession:

Through the generosity of our area priests, we are once again able to offer the opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation throughout the entire day. Over thirty priests will be available to hear confessions beginning at 2:00 pm and concluding prior to Mass at 7:00 pm. We pray that you take this chance to prepare your hearts for evening Mass and to truly grow in your own faith.

Adoration:

We are so blessed to be able to offer Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament throughout the entire day. At any point throughout the event, bring your family, friends, and peers to Sacred Heart Chapel, located in the quad, to rest, refresh, and rejuvenate in prayer. Continue to fall in love with the Eucharist and allow Him to love you in this quiet chapel.

For the first time, the Vocations Office will be sponsoring an XLT during the FEST! An XLT is an opportunity for teens, young adults, and families to come together in faith. Supported by amazing music and an inspiring talk, this experience culminates with time spent together in front of the Blessed Sacrament in Sacred Heart Chapel. We look forward to sharing this time in community beginning at 4:30 pm. Please note that space in the air-conditioned chapel is limited, so make sure to get there early!

Aces:

Back by popular demand! We will be offering chances all day to show off your God-given talents on the volleyball court. Located next to the ever-popular Vocations tent, this full size court will be available throughout the day for pick-up games. If you are feeling brave, our religious brothers and sisters have agreed to challenge you and your friends to a twenty-minute, no-holds-barred volleyball competition. Please sign up for one of these four games (registration is required).

Additional Opportunities:

Tours of Borromeo and St. Mary Seminaries (located on the campus of the Center for Pastoral Leadership) will be offered hourly. Tickets for these tours are free and will be available in the Vocation Tent: speak with Mary at the popcorn table. We hope that you will take a few moments to see how our seminarians live, work, play, and pray on these beautiful grounds.

We look forward to seeing you at the Vocations Tent (located in the quad). A popular annual destination at The FEST, we will welcome over thirty religious orders from around the country who will share important information about their missions. If you are discerning the religious life, have always wanted to chat with a nun, converse with a religious priest, pray with a brother, or are looking for answers to your questions, this tent is guaranteed to provide eye-opening insight into a life that few get to see. Take the chance to learn and pray – our brothers and sisters are excited to meet you!
