We are here for you. We are praying for you.
On Saturday, March 21, Governor DeWine asked every citizen to make their daily choices based on doing whatever they could do to stop the spread of this terrible virus. Beyond social distancing and washing our hands, he asked us to stay home as much as possible, and make best choices to keep ourselves, our families and our community safe – as well as stopping the spread of COVID -19. Listed on this page is some best information for you and our community. We need to work together (as we always do) to keep each other healthy and safe. The more we step our best practices, the sooner we can come back together at the Table of the Lord.
Together, let us work to be the hands, feet and heart of Christ to bring health, healing, care, compassion, and Christ’s peace to our community and our world.
Let us use these Lenten days to hold ourselves in prayer and reflect on the Cross of Christ. We are planning wonderful ways to provide you with hope, inspiration and opportunities to walk through Lent together. Stay tuned!
This is a challenging and uncertain time for all of us. If we can be of help in any way, please contact email@example.com or 330-460-7300.
We have volunteers who are able to do some grocery shopping and/or additional errands for you if you are at risk of going out. Or, if you are able to help in any way, please let us know.
Please contact Lisa atLhomady@StAmbrose.us and let us know how we can help.

Top 5 Ways To Disinfect When Everyday Supplies Run Out
Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton, M.D., MPH, offers the following suggestions for preventive cleaning against COVID-19 if everyday supplies, such as cleaning wipes or cleaning sprays, run out:
- Use a diluted household bleach solution if appropriate for the surface: 5 tablespoons (1/3 cup) bleach per gallon of water; or 4 teaspoons of bleach per quart of water. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for application and proper ventilation. Do not use if product is past its expiration date. NEVER mix bleach with ammonia or other household cleaners.
- Use an alcohol solution with at least 70% alcohol.
- Wear disposable gloves when cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. Discard gloves after use, or, if reusable gloves are used, they should be dedicated only for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces for COVID-19 and no other purposes. Clean hands immediately after gloves are removed.
- Clean hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Remember to keep all cleaning products out of the reach of children at all times.

Stories of Hope
God is in our midst!
In the crisis, we have seen beautiful things. Delivering meals to homebound. Children sending colored cards to people in nursing homes. Someone donating sanitizer and masks for home anointing of the sick. Please share your story of hope and light below.
When faced with fear of the unknown, turning to an all-knowing God is a good place to start. And for people of faith, we know that God answers prayers and that, as it says in James 5:16, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
That doesn’t mean we only pray; we act as well, but, calmed by the awareness of the presence of God, we can respond with clarity and direction.
Jesus, during Your ministry on Earth You showed Your power and caring by healing people of all ages and stations of life from physical, mental, and spiritual ailments. Be present now to people who need Your loving touch because of COVID-19. May they feel Your power of healing through the care of doctors and nurses.
Take away the fear, anxiety, and feelings of isolation from people receiving treatment or under quarantine. Give them a sense of purpose in pursuing health and protecting others from exposure to the disease. Protect their families and friends and bring peace to all who love them.
Father, we seek Your wisdom daily. Be with people making decisions that affect the lives and futures of our families, communities, countries, and the wider world. Inspire and invigorate people developing better tests to diagnose the virus, vaccines to prevent it, and protocols and communication to eliminate the disease’s spread. May truth and empathy be the touchstones of people setting policies for our protection.
Dear Lord, we lift to You our concern for people who are more likely than others to become severely ill from COVID-19 — the elderly and people with chronic health conditions. Protect them from harm and be their comfort in this time of uncertainty.
I come before You to lay my panic and anxiety at Your feet. When I’m crushed by my fears and worries, remind me of Your power and Your grace. Fill me with Your peace as I trust in You and You alone. I know I can’t beat this on my own, but I also know that I have You, Lord, and You have already paid the ultimate price to carry my burdens.
In place of my anxiety, give me Your peace.
For this I thank You, Amen.
You are the strength of my life;
You are my rock, my fortress and my protector; therefore, whom shall I be afraid?
You are my shield, my strong-tower and my stronghold.
I will call to You because You are worthy to be praised.
So, Father, I thank you for being my strength and My God in whom I trust, Amen.
